Methodology
Crypto Insider is an independent market-intelligence publication. Here is exactly how each issue is made.
1. Collection
Every morning at 5:00 AM we collect data from public sources:
- News: CoinDesk, The Block, Decrypt, Cointelegraph and Vitalik Buterin's blog.
- Governance: live proposals from Snapshot across major DAOs.
- Markets & on-chain: DefiLlama chain and protocol TVL, CoinGecko prices and market structure, and the Alternative.me Fear & Greed Index.
2. Deduplication
Headlines are clustered by textual similarity so a single event appears once. We keep the most authoritative original source and record how many outlets covered it, which is a useful signal of significance. We filter out articles already used in an earlier issue.
3. Calculation
All figures, including unlock size as a share of circulating supply, dollar values, price and TVL changes, are computed in code from primary data. Thresholds: unlocks are shown when they exceed 2.0% of circulating supply or $5M; chains need at least $100M TVL and protocols at least $75M.
4. Drafting & review
An AI model drafts the analytical commentary from the verified dataset only. Automated checks flag numbers that don't appear in the source data, citations that don't match a stored item, and advisory language. A separate AI fact-checking review then checks that claims are supported by their cited sources and that unconfirmed reports are attributed rather than stated as fact, and an AI editorial review checks the piece against our editorial standards.
